“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” - Jeremiah 29:11
I personally don't know where hip hop star, Drake stands in a relationship with God, but in his latest hit song “God’s Plan” Drake raps these lyrics “God’s plan, God’s plan, I can’t do this on my own.” That’s powerful to me. We can’t do this on our own.
We tend to try to go our own way and fail to realize that God has a greater plan than we do. We may not have a plan, but I promise that God does have a plan for you. Not only does God have a plan for us, but His plan is to prosper, grow, and protect us. Not only that, but at the end of it all, it will be perfection because God’s plan will be fulfilled, IF we trust Him with that plan. This verse promises that God will grow us and prosper us. If that doesn't encourage you, I don't know what will!
The problem with this is the fact that we have to be patient to see God’s plan prosper in our lives. However, if we will wait, trust, and have faith in God we will see these plans come to fruition. If we can realize that the ultimate key to living the Christian life is trusting God no matter what then we will have a much more peaceful walk with Christ.
God’s plans always succeed, guess what. Our plans typically fail. God’s greatest plan was sending His Son to the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins. There are two key things about Christ going Cross. One, Jesus trusted God’s plan by faithfully doing what God had called Him to do. Two, God’s plan was perfectly executed exactly how He said it would be.
If you're struggling with what your plan or purpose is in your life then bring it to the Cross. Because while you may not know, God does and He has a perfect plan for your life. The three keys are trust, faith, and patience. God has a great plan for you, friend. Keep going.
