“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28

What an amazing piece of scripture. This is actually Jesus speaking in this passage. That is one of the most comforting things about this verse. Imagine Jesus just calmly coming up to you during your struggle and saying “Come to me and I will give you rest.”

We all have things that we go through that make us anxious or give us a heavy heart, but Christ has a call for us to come and give our worries, doubts, and fears over to Him. Quit trying to fight the battle on your own, with Jesus in our corner the opposition doesn't stand a chance. When all the worries and fear being to creep into your life just keep in mind that you have the savior of the world living inside of you if you are a Christ follower.

So to you out there who have a heavy heart this morning. To you who wants to give up. To the person who may read this and feel like there is no hope and you have no hope, there is a savior who is waiting of you to cast your worries and anxieties on Him. To the one who feels like you've hit rock bottom, it’s time to start looking up because God is using your struggle to strengthen you. When you're at the bottom the only way you can look is up!

Look towards the cross, in an dark and evil world that is our one guide closer to Heaven. Satan wants you to be a worrier, Christ tells you to hand the battle over to Him. I don't know about you, but I’d much rather let Christ fight my battles for me. In experience, when I try to fight my battles on my own I lose. When I give my struggles over to Christ there is always victory.

The formula to a calm heart is simple, yet we make it so complex. Come to the savior and cast your worries on Him, it's as simple as that

. Don't let Satan win another second of this struggle. Come to the Savior today, He’s waiting for you to surrender the battle over to Him!
